When the Thao people of Taiwan were hunting, they encountered a white deer, which symbolizes happiness. They chased it all the way to Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, and saw the white deer hiding in the blue lake. They decided to move here. The white deer became a dream builder for people from all walks of life, leading people to find their own Sun Moon Lake.
