To support the international growth of Taiwan design brands, Creative EXPO Taiwan (CET) made its debut at Interior Lifestyle Tokyo 2026 for the first time. Held from June 10–12 at Tokyo Big Sight, the exhibition is one of Japan’s leading trade fairs for lifestyle and interior design.

This year’s edition brought together 460 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions and attracted 12,733 professional buyers and industry professionals over three days, serving as a key business platform for the lifestyle, interior, and design sectors in Japan and Asia.

For its debut appearance, Creative EXPO Taiwan joined the specially curated “Meet Design” exhibition area, organized by Japanese curator Nobukuni Tsuboi. Three Taiwan brands—umami, SENSITUDE, and HMM—were selected to showcase their products, presenting Taiwan’s strengths in furniture, lifestyle goods, and fragrance design while demonstrating the integration of aesthetics, craftsmanship, and market innovation.

Throughout the exhibition, the participating brands engaged with professional buyers, retailers, distributors, and industry representatives from Japan and across Asia, generating strong interest and valuable business connections. Representatives from a furniture-related design event in Fukuoka visited the Taiwanese booths and invited the brands to participate in a design exchange event scheduled for May 2027, creating new opportunities for market development in Japan’s Kyushu region. In addition, professional buyers from South Korea, Thailand, and other Asian markets visited the exhibition, highlighting the growing international appeal and competitiveness of Taiwanese design brands.

Through its first participation in Interior Lifestyle Tokyo and Meet Design, Creative EXPO Taiwan successfully increased the visibility of Taiwanese design brands in Japan and across Asia, strengthened connections with international design networks and distribution channels, and laid the groundwork for future cross-border collaborations and market expansion.
