What do you wish to dream?” The Penghu Pavilion creates an ambiance reminiscent of a dreamlike paradise within, capturing the cultural essence of the islands that welcome different cultures. The 1623 Dutch-drawn “Map of Penghu Islands” serves as a guide to this exploratory wonderland, inviting you to dreamily traverse the Age of Exploration to the present day—a collective longing and imagination associated with Penghu. It eloquently expresses the coexistence of culture, the freedom to build dreams, and how dreams shape the identity of the people to become Penghu persons in contemporary times.

Dreamlike Exploration, Artful Journey in the Enchanted Realm The Penghu Pavilion weaves abundant visual art into its exhibition space. From Hong Genshen’s contemporary ink painting “Penghu Historical Events” to Pan Jing’s multimedia artwork “Project Resurrection: General No. 1,” and Chen Jingrong’s mosaic piece “Longing for Your Early Return,” the visual walls curated by various photographers eloquently narrate the intertwining of culture and environment in this artistic island paradise.
