Diversity of Taiwanese-ness

Contemporary innovations, design, and interpretations contribute to cultural and creative diversity in Taiwan. Shi Su Market was inspired by daily scenarios in coastal villages. Tainan Kouran appropriates and redesigns traditional visual elements in Taiwan. Po Jen Tang represents how an immigrant Chinese medicine family reinvents itself. Innovations in traditional industries, new touching from Old Tainan, sports games in cities, extensive collections in museums, a wide variety of characters and images, and those design products for better life, are all based on daily culture accumulated over time. With the transformative power in art and design, we get to see what Taiwanese is all about.

From seaside villages, markets within Tainan, to traditional Chinese medicine shops in front of temples, the stories of families and the land have shaped the unique flavors of Taiwan. Coupled with the generational inheritance and innovation, the passionate unity of baseball, and the accumulation of time and immigration over the past 400 years, these elements have enriched Taiwan's deep cultural heritage and distinctive style.
